Founder

I’m James Dotson, Founder and President of Training for Transformation®.

Having been the victim of childhood sexual abuse and formerly bound by a life of sexual immorality and sex addictions, I am now dedicated to sharing with others the gifts of healing, recovery, deliverance, and transformation God has accomplished and is still accomplishing in my life.

I am a Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) through Clinical Pastoral Education International (CPEI) and a Certified Coach (CC) through Coach Training Alliance (CTA). I have also completed the certificate program in Healthy Sexuality: A Biblical Perspective on Love, Intimacy & Healing through the Center for Biblical Counseling at the American Association of Christian Counselors. I hold a B.A. degree in biology from Columbia Union College (now Washington Adventist University), and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in health education from the University of Maryland, College Park.

I am a disciple of Jesus Christ and a member of the Seventh-day Adventist® Church, a Protestant Christian denomination. The modus operandi of my life today is to be a witness, messenger, ambassador, and agent of positive, transformative change for God in the lives of others.

I am available as a Speaker, Trainer, Life Coach, or Consultant focused on learning and living God’s design for sexuality. Contact Us to make arrangements for my services
